7:36 PM EDT (10/28/2012) - Subway service has been shut down. MTA hasn't announced when it will resume or even when they'll be making a decision about reopening. If you are a white person who happens to be stuck above 110th Street, may God have mercy on your soul...you're not going anywhere.

9:33 PM EDT (10/28/2012) - New York Stock Exchange will be closed tomorrow. Initially, the reports claimed that the NYSE would remain open and that brokers were being offered hotels tonight in Manhattan. It's a historic event for Wall Street; the first weather-related closure in 27 years. [LINK]

7:39 PM EDT (10/29/2012) - Okay, here we go.. looks like Sandy will make landfall in NYC within the hour.
- Batter Park broke the current flood record @ 10.69 feet (7:30pm). The previous record was set in 1821.[LINK]
- Holland/Battery tunnels are closed. Noone is going in or out of Manhattan until, at the very least, tomorrow morning.
